By 26 January 2015, EnBW reported that the main installation work on the foundations at the Baltic 2 offshore wind farm had been completed after around seven months of offshore operations. More than 80,000 metric tons of steel were used to install the 39 monopile and 41 jacket foundations in water depths ranging from 23 to 44 metres across the 27 km² site. At this stage, half of the 80 wind turbines had also been fully installed. Completion of the foundation campaign provided the structural base for final turbine installation and cabling, representing a key construction milestone ahead of commissioning.
