In March 2013, Ballast Nedam was awarded a contract related to foundation installation and logistics for the EnBW Baltic 2 offshore wind farm. The company’s scope includes erecting monopile and transition piece foundations and providing logistical support between the feeder ports of Rostock and Lubmin and the offshore Baltic 2 site. This contract forms part of the broader foundation EPCI effort, complementing the supply of monopiles, jackets and transition pieces by EEW SPC and Bladt Industries, and supports the staged construction of 80 turbine foundations in water depths ranging from approximately 23 to 44 metres.
