EnBW Offshore Services entered into charter contracts with UK-based Njord Offshore to supply two 12-passenger crew transfer vessels (CTVs) for the EnBW Baltic 1 and Baltic 2 offshore wind farms. The vessels are used to transport technicians and cargo to and from the Baltic 1 site, located 16 km north of the Darß/Zingst peninsula, and its O&M base at Barhöft. The agreement is binding from 1 June through 30 September 2022 and again from April through September 2023, with an option to extend the charter for two additional years. This procurement secures dedicated CTV capacity for routine operations and maintenance at Baltic 1, supporting safe and reliable technician access to the 21 turbines and offshore substation.
