In December 2023, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the German Development Bank (KfW) signed loan agreements totalling €125 million, led by the EIB, to finance essential ELMED infrastructure including the underwater HVDC cable and related project ecosystem elements.
