In August 2016, STAR Capital Partners completed the sale of its STAR II fund’s 51% shareholding in ElecLink to its joint-venture partner Groupe Eurotunnel SE for €75 million. The transaction transferred STAR’s entire equity stake to Eurotunnel, making ElecLink—developer of the privately funded 1000 MW HVDC interconnector through the Channel Tunnel—a wholly owned subsidiary of Groupe Eurotunnel.
