In the first quarter of 2019, the French regulator CRE and the UK’s Gas and Electricity Markets Authority (Ofgem) certified ElecLink as a transmission system operator (TSO) in their respective jurisdictions. This certification formally recognised ElecLink’s role as the owner and operator of the cross‑border HVDC interconnector and was a prerequisite for operating the link within the European power market.
