On 26 June 2013, French transmission system operator RTE issued and ElecLink accepted a technical and financial proposal (Proposition technique et financière n° 2012–035–SENE) for connecting the new derogatory ElecLink interconnector to the French public transmission network, thereby securing the French-side grid connection agreement required for the 1,000 MW HVDC link.
