Description
Société de Dragage International (SDI), DEME Group's French subsidiary, was awarded an EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation) contract in April 2021 by Réseau de Transport d'Électricité (RTE) for the export cable serving the 30 MW EFGL (Eoliennes Flottantes du Golfe du Lion / Leucate) floating offshore wind farm. SDI's scope covered both the submarine export cable section and the onshore cable section connecting into the existing onshore substation near Saint-Laurent-de-la-Salanque / Le Barcarès. The 66 kV cables themselves were supplied by SDI's consortium partner JDR Cable Systems. Installation activities were scheduled from 2022.
