Description
JDR Cable Systems was awarded a contract in April 2021 to design, manufacture, test and terminate the 66 kV dynamic and static export cables for the EFGL (Eoliennes Flottantes du Golfe du Lion / Leucate) 30 MW floating offshore wind farm in the French Mediterranean. JDR delivered the cables under a consortium arrangement with Société de Dragage International (SDI, DEME Group), with manufacture at JDR's Hartlepool facility. The export cable links the three Vestas V164-10.0 MW floating turbines to the grid at Saint-Laurent-de-la-Salanque. The contract scope was supply / manufacture only; SDI held the separate EPCI installation contract from RTE.
