Description
SSEN Transmission acted as the project lead for the Scottish onshore and in‑Scottish‑waters consenting, community liaison and early design phases of EGL5. The company ran public and nearshore/onshore consultation events, published a detailed onshore, landfall and nearshore consultation booklet and managed community liaison (including a named Community Liaison Manager). SSEN Transmission led the selection and refinement of landfall and onshore cable corridor options, commissioning and coordinating marine and environmental surveys in the nearshore corridor to inform consenting and route development.
