National Grid planned routine operation and maintenance activities for the converter stations and onshore substation associated with Eastern Green Link 4. The PEIR states that weekly visits by a small team would be undertaken at the converter stations to carry out equipment inspections, servicing, replacements and repairs, and that equipment inspections and servicing would also be carried out at the Walpole substation. These routine maintenance visits are planned to take place throughout the operational life of the project (expected to enter service around 2033).
