SSEN Transmission commenced an offshore geophysical survey campaign for Eastern Green Link 3 in 2023. The campaign covered intertidal, nearshore and offshore areas of the proposed subsea cable corridor and used MBES (multibeam echosounder), side-scan sonar (SSS), sub‑bottom profiler (SBP), magnetometer and aerial UAV surveys to map bathymetry, seabed features, shallow geology and locate seabed objects that could constrain cable routing.
