Description
AECOM UK Limited prepared the Eastern Green Link 2 Project Description and supporting environmental appraisal for the project owners. The work comprised preparation of the marine scheme chapter describing the two submarine HVDC cable circuits, the Marine Installation Corridor (approximately 436 km), proposed installation methods, pre-installation survey requirements (geophysical, visual, UXO assessment) and environmental mitigation measures. The output was produced to inform consenting and planning by documenting project design assumptions, installation approaches and environmental mitigation for the route between the Scottish and English landfalls. The activity supported the owners’ regulatory and consenting submissions and informed subsequent detailed design and survey planning.
