Sources stated that following the commencement of onshore works, specialist marine operations would mobilise to begin seabed preparation and cable-laying activities along the ~176 km subsea route between Torness and Hawthorn Pit. The planned offshore campaign encompassed simultaneous lay-and-burial and post-lay burial techniques selected according to seabed conditions.
