CRP Subsea, the cable protection systems arm of AIS Ltd, has been awarded a contract by Seaway 7 to supply 142 NjordGuard cable protection systems (CPS) for the inter-array cables at ScottishPower Renewables' 960 MW East Anglia TWO offshore wind farm in the UK North Sea. The contract covers protection at each end of the inter-array cables connecting up to 64 wind turbine generators across the 218 km² site, located 46 km off Lowestoft. The award places CRP Subsea as a tier-2 sub-contractor to Seaway 7, the offshore installation contractor for East Anglia TWO. NjordGuards safeguard subsea cables against over-bending, abrasion, and fatigue during both installation operations and the operational lifetime of the wind farm. CRP Subsea has developed three NjordGuard designs to accommodate both monopile and J-tube interfaces, providing compatibility across the foundation types deployed at the project. Engineering work begins immediately, with final delivery scheduled for February 2027. The systems will be manufactured at CRP Subsea's facility in the North West of England. Andy Smith, Head of Sales at CRP Subsea, stated: "We are honoured to have been chosen by Seaway7 to support this major offshore wind development." The award follows Hellenic Cables' 2025 inter-array cable supply contract for the same project.
