On 20 January 2026, ScottishPower Renewables selected Boslan, an Accenture company, to supervise the manufacturing and quality control of key components for the 960 MW East Anglia Two offshore wind farm. According to OffshoreWIND.biz, Boslan’s remit spans both offshore and onshore scopes and covers offshore and onshore substations, the offshore platform’s foundations, inter-array cables, export cables, wind turbines, and other mechanical equipment required for the project. This role places Boslan as an overarching quality and manufacturing supervision partner across multiple major work packages, ensuring that components are produced and assembled in line with the project’s technical and reliability requirements before they are delivered for installation. The appointment of Boslan follows a series of major supply-chain contracts already secured for East Anglia Two, including turbine supply, export cable supply, inter-array cable transport and installation, and the EPCIC contract for the offshore substation. By engaging a specialist supervisor with a broad brief across substations, foundations, cabling, and turbine-related equipment, ScottishPower Renewables is aiming to coordinate quality standards and interfaces across different suppliers and fabrication yards. This procurement milestone supports the project’s transition deeper into the construction phase by strengthening oversight of critical-path components, reducing the risk of manufacturing defects or delays, and helping to assure that equipment arriving at pre-assembly and offshore installation sites is compliant, fully tested, and ready for efficient deployment within the overall East Anglia Hub development strategy.
