By the time of the May 2014 PEIR, the main components of the East Anglia THREE project site had been selected, including its location in the southern North Sea approximately 69 km from the East Anglian coast, the offshore cable corridor, the landfall at Bawdsey in Suffolk, the 37 km onshore cable route, and the site for a new onshore converter station adjacent to the existing National Grid Bramford substation. The documents describe these locations as the proposed configuration for the project and present mapped layouts of the offshore wind farm area and onshore electrical transmission works.
