In August 2017, the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy granted development consent for the East Anglia THREE Offshore Wind Farm by making the East Anglia THREE Offshore Wind Farm Order 2017. The Order authorised construction of an offshore wind farm of up to 1,200 MW with up to 172 turbines and associated offshore infrastructure located about 69 km off the Suffolk coast, together with associated Deemed Marine Licences.
