On 30 September 2022, the Secretary of State made the East Anglia THREE Offshore Wind Farm (Amendment) Order 2022, a non‑material change to the 2017 Development Consent Order that, among other changes, reduced the maximum number of turbines from 121 to 100 and increased permitted turbine dimensions while removing the explicit 1,400 MW gross capacity cap. The amendment followed consultation under the 2011 Regulations and came into force on 1 October 2022, updating the authorised project parameters without altering its overall consented nature.
