Onshore construction for the 714 MW East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm, including the shared landfall at Bawdsey in Suffolk, approximately 37 km of underground export cables and the onshore substation at Bramford connecting into the National Grid, began in 2017 after planning consent had been granted in 2014. The Lumify Energy project overview notes that ScottishPower did not start building East Anglia ONE until 2017, while East Suffolk Council describes the scope of these onshore works.
