ScottishPower Renewables and Vattenfall Wind Power entered into an equal collaborative partnership in 2009, forming the East Anglia Offshore Wind (EAOW) 50:50 joint venture to develop offshore wind capacity in the East Anglia Zone, within which East Anglia ONE became the first project. The JV subsequently secured Round 3 rights from The Crown Estate to develop the East Anglia Zone.
