RTE awarded a turnkey contract to a consortium of Hellenic Cables and Asso.subsea for the Dunkerque offshore wind farm grid connection, selecting Hellenic Cables to design, manufacture and supply 32 km of 225 kV submarine export cables and 38 km of underground cables, including accessories, and to perform jointing, testing, termination and commissioning. Asso.subsea will provide transportation, laying and protection of the submarine cable links, enabling two 225 kV HVAC export cable circuits to connect the offshore substation to the French onshore grid.
