Siemens plc was awarded two contracts by Statoil, as operator for the Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm, covering the engineering, procurement, assembly, supply and offshore commissioning of 67 x 6.0MW wind turbine generators (WTGs) (SWT-6.0-154). The agreements also included a service package: Siemens provided operations and maintenance for the WTGs for the first two years after installation completion, followed by a further three years in which Siemens supplied technicians and other agreed services, after which the operator intended to take over WTG O&M responsibility.
