On 12 June 2009, Dudgeon Offshore Wind Limited submitted an application to the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change under the Electricity Act 1989 for consent to construct and operate the Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm off the coast of Norfolk, together with a direction for deemed planning permission for underground cabling and a transition pit at Weybourne and a declaration under section 36A to extinguish public rights of navigation where the offshore structures would be located.
