In 2012 Dudgeon Offshore Wind Limited received overall planning consent for the Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm, including a Section 36 consent from the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change authorising construction of the project, which has consent for up to 540 MW and a planned capacity of 402 MW with 67 turbines, one offshore substation and two export cables to Weybourne Hope and an onshore substation at Necton, Norfolk.
