Two 132 kV submarine export cables, each 42 km in length, connecting the Dudgeon offshore substation to the Weybourne Hope landfall as part of the Dudgeon–Necton export system.
ABB AB held the EPC contract to engineer and manufacture the subsea export cables for the Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm, which later formed the regulated Dudgeon OFTO transmission assets. The contract, awarded by Dudgeon Offshore Wind Ltd. in February 2014 and valued at about GBP 33 million, covered the design, production and factory assembly of two 132 kV HVAC submarine export cables, each 42 km long, running from the offshore substation to the landfall at Weybourne Hope on the North Norfolk coast. These twin‑circuit cables form the subsea portion of the 132 kV connection that links the offshore substation to the onshore network at Necton, and are long‑lead items critical to the build‑transfer OFTO scheme.
