By 15 October 2015 VBMS had completed two horizontal directional drillings, each 1,170 meters long, at the Weybourne landfall for the Dudgeon export cables. These HDD ducts were installed to create the shore crossing for the two 42 km subsea export cables that later formed part of the Dudgeon OFTO transmission link between the offshore substation and the onshore grid connection.
