Export cable installation for the Dudgeon transmission system was scheduled to start in March 2016, when VBMS planned to lay two 42 km subsea export cables from the Weybourne landfall ducts to the offshore substation. This campaign followed completion of the landfall HDD works in 2015 and was part of the overall programme to install the HVAC export connection that would become the Dudgeon OFTO assets.
