Description
Aker Solutions signed an Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) contract with OKEA for the Draugen electrification (power-from-shore) project offshore Norway. Under the contract, Aker Solutions acted as the main contractor and was responsible for managing and executing the work required to electrify the existing Draugen platform from shore power, including major platform modifications to enable the platform to receive electrical power via a power cable. The project was managed from Aker Solutions’ offices in Trondheim, with construction activities planned to be executed at the company’s yard in Egersund, and completion scheduled for 2026.
