Description
Siemens was awarded a contract by TenneT TSO for the DolWin6 offshore grid connection. Siemens supplied the HVDC transmission technology (including 320 kV HVDC equipment such as switchgear, transformers and converters for the offshore converter platform) and was responsible for the complete construction of the HVDC onshore station in Emden, East Frisia. The contract value was described as being in the high three-digit million-euro range, and commercial commissioning was scheduled for 2023.
