In May 2019, TenneT awarded the DolWin5 offshore grid connection project to a consortium comprising Aibel and Keppel FELS as EPCI contractors, with Hitachi Energy subcontracted as the technology provider for the HVDC transmission system, effectively selecting Hitachi Energy as the converter system supplier for the project’s offshore and associated HVDC equipment.
