In February 2013, TenneT Offshore GmbH awarded GE Vernova a turnkey contract for the DolWin3 HVDC grid connection in the German North Sea, appointing GE as supplier of the voltage source converter (VSC) systems and associated HVDC equipment for the 900 MW offshore-to-onshore link between the DolWin gamma platform and the onshore grid.
