Description
TenneT awarded Siem Offshore Contractors a contract, in partnership with J-Power Systems, to supply, install and commission the 155 kV HVAC grid connection system for the Innogy Nordsee 1 offshore wind farm as part of the DolWin2 cluster. The scope covered offshore installation and commissioning of two three-core submarine composite export cables linking the Nordsee 1 offshore substation to the DolWin beta offshore converter platform. This work formed the generation export connection from the wind farm into the DolWin2 HVDC system during the construction phase, involving installation of approximately 15 km of subsea cable along the Nordsee One–DolWin beta route.
