In 2014 Boskalis undertook offshore site preparation works for the DolWin beta HVDC converter platform in the German Bight, including pre-laid scour protection and seabed preparation using the fallpipe vessel Rockpiper. These activities, carried out between September and October 2014, created a gravel bed and protected seabed conditions to allow safe and stable installation of the DolWin2 gravity-based platform structure.
