On 7 January 2026, the UK government, via the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, announced that the deadline for the final determination of the Dogger Bank South Development Consent Order (covering the DBS offshore wind farms including Dogger Bank South West) was reset to 30 April 2026, delaying the consent decision. Project partners RWE and Masdar expressed disappointment but committed to continue working with the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and other stakeholders to provide any information needed to progress the 3 GW projects.
