On 29 February 2024, Masdar completed the acquisition of a 49% equity stake in the Dogger Bank South offshore wind projects, including DBS East, from RWE, leaving RWE with a 51% holding and overall lead on development, construction and operations. The closing of this transaction, first announced at COP28 in December 2023, formalised Masdar as co‑owner of both 1.5 GW sites and underpins joint delivery of the 3 GW Dogger Bank South development.
