Dogger Bank South East (DBS East) is the eastern 1.5 GW array of the joint Dogger Bank South cluster developed by RWE (51%) and Masdar (49%), with combined East and West capacity of around 3 GW under a single DCO. The projects are progressing through the UK Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) consent process; the PINS examination closed on 11 July 2025 and the Secretary of State's statutory DCO decision deadline has been reset to 14 May 2026. RWE/Masdar communications confirm that, if the projects are approved and following an FID, construction could commence in 2026/2027, with DBS East commissioning targeted for 2032 (a year behind DBS West's 2031 target). The Final Investment Decision is therefore positioned between the expected DCO consent and the post-consent construction window. Year precision (2026) is used to encode this inferred but un-narrowed target window for DBS East; the date should be refined or superseded if RWE/Masdar publish a tighter indication, or if DCO consent slippage shifts the FID timeline. As FID is taken jointly by the RWE/Masdar JV across both DBS phases, this projection mirrors the corresponding DBS West projection.
