In 2021, the Dogger Bank D applicant identified, through a capacity assessment of the Dogger Bank C site, that up to 1.5 GW of additional renewable energy could potentially be consented and constructed in the eastern part of the original Dogger Bank C area, creating a new development phase termed Dogger Bank D.
