The Dogger Bank D project promoter, Doggerbank Offshore Wind Farm Project 4 Projco Limited (owned by SSE Renewables and Equinor), ran a statutory public consultation on its proposals for the Dogger Bank D offshore wind farm and associated onshore works from 10 June to 5 August 2025. Conducted under the Planning Act 2008 as part of the Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project pre‑application process, the consultation was supported by a Preliminary Environmental Information Report (PEIR) and related materials and, by late August 2025, had recently concluded to inform preparation of a Development Consent Order application.
