The proposed Dogger Bank D offshore wind farm was first publicly announced in 2023 as a fourth phase of the 3.6 GW Dogger Bank Wind Farm, envisaged as an up to 2 GW fixed-bottom project around 210 km off the UK’s northeast coast with a planned grid connection at the new 400 kV Birkhill Wood substation in East Riding of Yorkshire, developed by a 50:50 joint venture between SSE Renewables and Equinor.
