Offshore Construction Start

Offshore construction of the Dogger Bank C Offshore Wind Farm commenced on 7 October 2024. This milestone is confirmed in the project’s Weekly Notice of Operations for Dogger Bank C, which explicitly states that offshore construction of the wind farm began on that date. Dogger Bank C is described as the third stage of development within the Dogger Bank Zone in the United Kingdom, with a consented capacity of up to 1.2 GW and three owners: SSE, Equinor and Vårgrønn. The commencement of offshore construction marks the transition from planning and preparatory phases into full-scale physical works at sea. By the time of the 18 August 2025 Weekly Notice of Operations, the project was well into its offshore construction phase, with multiple parallel workstreams underway. Monopile foundation installation in the Dogger Bank C offshore wind farm construction area is being carried out by the heavy lift vessel Seaway Strashnov, with the campaign described as having commenced on 22 April 2025 and continuing through approximately Q4 2025 on a 24‑hour basis. Transition piece installation, offshore substation platform commissioning activities, and associated marine coordination and safety zone management are also detailed as ongoing.
