Description
Hitachi Energy (referred to in 2021 as Hitachi ABB Power Grids) was selected to supply HVDC Light® systems for the Dogger Bank Wind Farm phases, including the Teesside-connected Dogger Bank C transmission link. Hitachi Energy’s stated total scope of supply included design, engineering, procurement, construction and installation of converter stations (three offshore and three onshore across the three phases). For Dogger Bank C, this comprised the offshore HVDC converter station equipment installed on the offshore platform and the associated onshore converter station to integrate power into the onshore AC grid connection on Teesside.
