Dogger Bank Windfarm Limited has confirmed that the turbine installation campaign for the Dogger Bank A offshore wind farm is now complete. In its Weekly Notice of Operations for the period 4–10 May 2026, the company states that all Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) have now been installed on Dogger Bank A (DBA). This notice is issued in the context of ongoing offshore construction operations for the project, which commenced on 18 March 2022, and marks the point at which the full complement of turbines has been mechanically installed at the offshore site. The Weekly Notice explains that, following completion of turbine installation, activity at the DBA site will transition away from heavy-lift installation towards commissioning and maintenance operations. The document situates this milestone within a broader construction programme that also involves multiple offshore construction support vessels working under restricted manoeuvrability, and notes that continued work on DBA is now focused on bringing the installed assets into service and maintaining them. For stakeholders and mariners operating in the area, the notice serves both as an operational update and as a signal that turbine installation risks are reducing, even as commissioning-related vessel activity remains significant. This milestone is a key step toward full realisation of Dogger Bank A’s consented capacity of up to 1.2 GW for its owners SSE, Equinor and Vårgrønn. With all turbines in place, the project can concentrate on electrical, mechanical and systems commissioning needed before entering commercial operation, while maintaining appropriate safety and navigation measures during this final construction phase.
