On 4 May 2026, Dogger Bank Windfarm Limited issued Weekly Notice of Operations Rev 217 for the Dogger Bank A offshore wind farm, covering the period 4–10 May 2026. The notice confirms that all Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) have now been installed on Dogger Bank A, and states that continued work on the project is now focused on “Commissioning and Maintenance operations.” This marks a shift in activity from physical installation to commissioning-focused workstreams as part of the construction phase that began offshore on 18 March 2022. The notice is issued by the Marine Coordination Centre at the Dogger Bank Operations & Maintenance Base in South Shields and is intended to give stakeholders an updated overview of progress and offshore activities. The same document reports that all Dogger Bank A inter-array cables (IACs) have been installed and trenched, and highlights that certain inter-array circuits “have been energised” and are currently under Electrical Safety Rules. Together, the confirmation that turbines and IACs are in place, the explicit reference to commissioning operations, and the energisation of cables under formal safety procedures indicate that system testing and commissioning of the offshore electrical network are actively underway. These activities occur within defined safety zones around the installed infrastructure, with mariners requested to keep clear of construction and commissioning operations and to maintain safe distances from working vessels and energized assets in the Dogger Bank A construction area.
