Dogger Bank Wind Farm awarded a contract to the Sif–Smulders consortium to supply the wind turbine foundations for Dogger Bank A, covering monopile foundations and transition pieces designed by Wood Thilsted. Under the contract, Sif is responsible for fabrication and supply of 190 monopiles and primary steel for transition pieces, while Smulders will deliver, fabricate and fit out the secondary steel, with these foundations to support the 95 GE Haliade‑X turbines on the first phase and a further 95 on Dogger Bank B.
