Installation of the first monopile turbine foundations for the Dogger Bank A offshore wind farm began in July 2022, marking the start of offshore foundation construction for the project’s first 1.2 GW phase about 130 km off the UK’s Yorkshire coast. The initial monopile was installed by the jack-up vessel Innovation, initiating a multi-year programme to install monopile foundations and transition pieces for Dogger Bank A and the subsequent phases.
