Dogger Bank A OFTO 320kV HVDC export cable system between the offshore converter platform and Creyke Beck onshore converter and grid connection, included within the 25‑year O&M Service Agreement provided by the Dogger Bank operator (Equinor).
Equinor, as operator of Dogger Bank Wind Farm, was designated to provide operations and maintenance services for the Dogger Bank A OFTO transmission assets under a comprehensive 25‑year O&M Service Agreement offered to the eventual OFTO owner for a nominal consideration of £1. The scope covers operation and maintenance of the HVDC transmission system and ancillary assets, including the offshore and onshore converter stations and the 320 kV HVDC export cables, as well as 24/7 control room services from Equinor’s central control room at the Dogger Bank Net Zero Carbon O&M base at Port of Tyne. The arrangement is intended to ensure high system availability, extend asset life beyond 25 years and leverage synergies with the wider Dogger Bank wind farm O&M organisation.
