In April 2024, IPTO launched Phase A of a framework agreement tender by publishing a Call for Expressions of Interest for the submarine cable interconnections of the Dodecanese and Northeastern Aegean projects, covering cables that will link Kos, Rhodes and Karpathos to the mainland grid. This prequalification phase invited applications from candidates for participation in the cable interconnection works and was completed in July 2024.
