In the Regional Investment Plan 2015 for the Baltic Sea region, forming part of TYNDP 2016, ENTSO-E listed project index 234 "DKE-PL-1" as the first 600 MW HVDC connector between Denmark-East and Poland, classified as a future project with expected commissioning after 2030 and promoted by Energinet.dk, based on Common Planning Studies 2015 identifying a preliminary additional market transport capacity of 500 MW.
ENTSO-E’s Ten-Year Network Development Plan 2014 analysed project 166 "DKE-PL", a 600 MW HVDC link between Bjæverskov in Denmark and Dunowo in Poland, representing a planned Denmark–East to Poland interconnector on this route.
