In early June 2019, Van Oord’s offshore installation vessel Aeolus began installing MHI Vestas 8.4 MW turbines at the 269 MW Deutsche Bucht offshore wind farm in 40 m water depths, with the first turbine reported as installed while the Nexus vessel had already laid over 40 km of inter‑array cables.
